What are your policies?

I have the utmost respect for you and I require the same in return. Unfortunately, because of some people, I have had to create these policies as healthy boundaries. Most clients will never have to worry about them, but all should be aware of them.~ 24 hour cancellation fee up to the full price of the session. If you need to cancel please call me before the 24 hour period. ~ If you are late to your session please know it still starts at your appointment time even if you are not there. Please call ahead if you are running late. ~ Cancel once shame on you, Cancel twice shame on me, Cancel (within the 24hrs) three times.... there won't be a third time unless you begin to give a nonrefundable payment in advance for sessions. No shows are considered cancellations & showing up late many times may have this policy apply as well. ~ No alcohol should be consumed before a session. ~ I reserve the right to end the session or stop working with someone at any time. {Sigh} Now that is over with....if there is a true emergency then all is forgiven ;)

How long of a session should I book for? How Often?

First visits I highly recommend 90 minutes especially for shamanic healing. Please keep in mind a full body massage takes at least 60m and the extra 30m allows us to work specifically in shoulders, low back, etc. Session time includes any time spent talking, time to get settled on the table, and the time it takes to get dressed after the session (for bodywork). Frequency is talked about after I first work with you and I can get a feel how best to support you.

What Days & Hours do you work?

Every day...I live on a farm! I actually can work any day of the week depending on my schedule and the location. Generally I work Tuesday to Saturday. Hours depend on where clients are booking in the day. Usually 10am to 8pm. Saturdays can be earlier. Since the last appointment has to end by 8pm the last session of the day usually starts at 6pm.

How quickly do you book up?

I am grateful to have a great practice so I would say book as soon as you are planning on wanting a session. Even if it is say two weeks away, it is best to set up the session now. I have been known to be booked up to 1 1/2 months in advance or I can get you in the next day if people have reschedule or I open a day. This all depends on the when you want an appointment, time of year, if I am traveling & training, and where I am working. People who come regularly book 6 months ahead or more with me. When you do this it is understood both of our schedules can change. If this occurs we should both contact each other as soon as we can. Life is about walking the unexpected too!

What should I expect in my Massage Session?

Relaxation! Though the first time you come there is the standard paperwork to fill out so please arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of your appointment time. I can also e-mail the paperwork for you to bring with you. Everytime you come in please tell me if anything is new with your health or your body. Especially Ladies ~ if you are pregnant! ~ We will then discuss what you wrote in the paperwork and I may have you walk back and forth or check different areas of your body for alignment. ~ You get to choose a cream with a delicious scent or even unscented ~ You will be asked to undress to your comfort level(undies can stay on)and go under the sheet on the massage table. This is after I leave the room. ~ I will leave and wash my hands then I will ask if I can come back in. Let me know if you are comfortable - we can adjust anything - music, heat, pillows, blanket, etc. ~ Please speak up in the session to inform me about the pressure during the massage - vitally important. There is a level of feel-good hurt, but if anything is ever getting near or is at all painful please let me know immediately. The massage is intended to be enjoyable and relaxing. I hope to have you floating at the end of the session!

What should I expect in my Myofascial Release Session?

Similar to a massage format, but light pressure is applied without oil and is supposed to take from a minute or more to have the fascia release. If you feel you need to move your body - go for it. This work can help you to unwind areas or your whole being if you choose. I will never harm you. If we do land on an area that experiences therapeutic pain, know it will pass, but inform me. Tissue holds the memory, especially scars. Some people feel heat, waves, tingling, pulsing, or another area on your body reacting. This is all great and is part of the fascia releasing!

What should I expect in my Shamanic Session?

Come with an open mind and see - best to not have expectations! You don't need to tell me anything ahead of time. I will see what is going on in your energy. We will open Sacred Space, I will track your field (intuitive reading of your energy), and we will discuss how this relates to you and your path. Whatever I see we can work with. We will discuss this and your journey, but we don't want to get trapped in the story. Please let go of whatever we find that doesn't serve you. I certainly won't hold you to it! Always walk out the door with the positive and possible. This work is on the level of the soul so it is your job to take it into the physical. The magic happens in the shamanic techniques that we step into. There is homework or as I like to call SoulWork. Engage your passions in life and call me when you are ready for me to assist you again. Take Flight!

I see you officiate Weddings. Do you hold any other ceremonies or rituals?

I love and am honored to officiate weddings and can work with you to create other ceremonies (i.e. house blessings, despacho, baby blessings) or rites of passage (i.e. maiden/mother/crone transformations). You can ask me more about this powerful work. As a minister, I have not held funerals but have worked with many to give death rites and to check on your loved ones to see if they need assistance after they pass on from their physical being. I can even go into the hospital to assist patients with their healing. All of this work can be done in person or at a distance.

How often do I need to come?

I will always welcome you for a session. When you ask how often I would recommend for you to come for more work I will let you know according to how the session went. In General... Massage is best every 2 weeks to a month. Shamanic Healing about every 3 weeks and eventually as needed. Please know that the necessities of life come first ~ so if it is between eating or having a session - please buy the food. Abundance issues can be worked with. Also keep in mind Health is Wealth!

I have a cold or I am sick. Should I still come in?

Please call me right away if you have an appointment soon and have the flu, a cold, or are sick to discuss what is going on pertaining to the session. Your health is the most important thing to me as well as my own health and that of my other clients. It is best for all of us if you are really sick not to come in, but relax at home and rest. If you are on the very tail end of a cold, still let me know, but it may be okay.

I don't want Energy Work. Can I still get a massage?

Absolutely, I would never do energy or shamanic work without permission! I have clients who don't even want a pule (hawaiian prayer) said for the massage and that is fine with me. I respect all beliefs, but please know that the work I do is spiritual and not religious and many of religious backgrounds including priests come for energy/shamanic. That is why this work is from my heart.
