Despacho Ceremony  is the creation of a sacred and powerful prayer bundle in the tradition of the Andean Medicine People (Q'ero, descendants of the Inca). The intent is to give our gratitude to the Earth & Spirit, honor the coming Spring, and weave prayers in from our heart. The Equinox means "Equal Night" and is one of only two times in the year where the Sun rises for 12 hours. In the Spring It exactly rises in the East and sets in the West. Light and Darkness are in balance, but the light is growing. The Spring is a time of potential as well as harmony of the internal and external, masculine and feminine, and getting ready for fertile times. A time for growth and planting seeds. We will have a great time together in honoring this day that has been traditionally honored for thousands of years. Even the Egyptians built the Great Sphinx to face towards the rising Sun on the day of the vernal equinox. Rain or Shine, but no Ice (Please call if you are in question of the weather).
